Throughout her tenure, Carolyn consistently demonstrated a genuine heart for the people and the community she served. She was not only a skilled and dependable public servant, but also a steady and caring leader who made a lasting impact on both her office and Walker County as a whole.
Carolyn devoted her time in office to supporting her employees and serving the public with integrity and professionalism. Her leadership fostered a workplace built on respect, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose. She approached her responsibilities with diligence and always put the needs of others first.

“My goal is to keep the county functioning without any interruptions and for there to be a smooth transition,” said Evans. “I have great contacts at the state Department of Revenue on both the motor vehicle and property sides of the office, as well as all the necessary state training and requirements. I’m ready to hit the ground running.”
Evans’ knowledge, dedication, and established relationships position her to continue providing reliable and efficient service to the citizens of Walker County while maintaining the high standards set by her predecessor.
